How can I get my yurt

How can I get my yurt

At Groovy Yurts, we are nomads too. A few times a year we load up our Groovy vehicles with as many yurts as possible and head out on an epic journey across North America. Our Groovy Delivery Tours are designed to offer affordable delivery prices directly to your door, minimize carbon emissions and most importantly to meet our ever so Groovy customers. Sharing our passion and knowledge with you is priority as you begin your yurt journey.

If you have opted to receive set-up assistance along with your delivery, you will be required to provide  2-4 helpers (for yurt sizes up to 6-Walls) or 3-5 helpers (for 7-Wall and 8-Wall Yurts). Helpers should be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

Our expert on location will guide you and your team of helpers through a safe and organized yurt tips, Mongolian history and culture set-up. Raising your yurt is exciting! Receiving a set-up assistance from us will ensure that your yurt is properly set-up and ready for you to enjoy.

In most cases, we will be arriving in either an 18-Wheeler or a smaller straight body truck. In some local cases we will arrive in a pick-up truck and covered trailer. We will clarify which vehicle you can expect to see before your delivery. We are aware that many yurt locations are not ideal to get to. In this case we will work with you to ensure accessibility through the appropriate means you may have available. Trucks, all-terrain vehicles, cars, wheel barrels etc. can all be part of getting your yurt safely to its new home.

Of special note is that we travel across North America and back again. Our delivery times/arrivals can be hampered by weather, shipping container arrival delays, customer delays and a host of other crazy hard to believe reasons. A delivery tour of this magnitude is an enormous challenge. Please know that it is our priority to get each one of you your yurt as promised but your patience is always so appreciated. We will get there!

Shipping your yurt from our warehouse is also an option. We tender out your shipment for the best price. Shipping is NOT the Delivery Tour. When shipping is your option, we crate your yurt and ship it directly to your door or to a warehouse close to you. Depending on the size of the yurt, you may need to have a forklift available on site to offload the crate(s) from the delivery vehicle. We will confirm whether this is the case prior to shipping. In today’s economy the cost  of shipping a yurt  is  often up to three times the cost of the delivery tour.

Picking your yurt up at our warehouse in Alexandria, Ontario is also an option. This is free, but we recognize not viable for many customers

Terms and Conditions:

  2. The required amount of additional able-bodied adult helpers per your yurt size.
  3. A confirmed final payment method.
We are so excited to hit the road and most importantly to meet YOU! If you have any questions about your delivery please give us a call at 1-888-476-6899 or email Selina: selina@groovyyurts.com

Always at ‘yurt’ service,

The Groovy Team
